Conquer the world through play...
Why does the ball roll away when I push it? What does this taste like? What does this feel like? What does this smell like? ...Can I stand up yet? It is easy to see that children enjoy discovering the world around them through play.
At the same time, these discoveries form an important basis for understanding shapes, weight, sound and colours.
It is very important to practice motor abilities because these control everything else that you do. It gives children a feeling of independence and makes them proud to know that „I can do this all by myself“.
Speech is developed together with motor abilities. Clear words suddenly appear amongst the unintelligable babble. The vocabulary increases bit by bit. Nursery rhymes, songs and simple picture books encourage the child to speak and gradually build up an active vocabulary.
